Just recently I have made a simple little dress for a client whose daughter is turning two. The free pattern I used is called the Little Heart and Bow dress as it has little hearts and a bow added on the straps. I decided to offer my client an option and came up with this little flower which she preferred. Here is the pattern.

Size hook and weight yarn are immaterial.

US terms

Instructions in brackets are the repeats

Abbreviations:

sc - single crochet

sl st - slip stitch

ch - chain

sp - space

dc - double crochet

Start with a magic ring (I always use a double magic ring as I find them much safer.

Round 1: 1ch into the magic ring, 10 sc into the ring, pull magic ring closed, sl st to first sc to close the round.

Round 2: (2ch, sk st, sl st into the next sc) around to the end, join with a sl st into the first 2ch-sp.

Round 3: (3ch which stands as the 1st dc, 3dc into the same sp, 3ch, sl st into the same ch=sp) - 1st petal made, sl st into the next 2ch-sp and repeat instructions in brackets.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Enjoy. The pattern has not been tested, so do give a shout if you find any mistakes or have suggestions.
