What an adventure indeed! Who would have thought at the beginning of 2021 that I would be one of the designers for the 6th Friends Around the World CAL, hosted every year by calcrochetalong.com. Definitely not me!
It all started when, in a Messenger conversation, I mentioned to Laurene Leesburg-Bluder, one of the admins on the calcrochetalong team, that I had been designing some mosaic patterns. She had not realised that I knew how to design an overlay mosaic pattern and therefore kindly asked me if I would like to be one of the designers. I tentatively agreed and the rest is history.
I designed my first piece, "Endeavour" which formed part of the geometric-themed blanket. It was released on 23 Sept 2021, You will find the pdf below.
When I saw that designers were doing more than 1 strip, I decided to do another one for the Garden Party-themed blanket, called "Coffee and Friends", released 6 December 2021.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey and learnt a lot. It has been wonderful to see all the strips that have been made by countless crafters all over the world and to learn about all the different designers from various parts of the globe. I am very grateful to have been a part of this journey.
